India is home to over 1.4 billion people yet our Olympic medal count has not even touched 100. China with a similar population dominates the Olympics with hundreds of medals. The difference is not in talent but in system and support. In other countries athletes are nurtured from childhood. In India an athlete must fight the system just to be visible.
