Astros closer Josh Hader has landed on the IL with a left shoulder strain after he experienced discomfort during a workout that left him unavailable to pitch in Houston's 7-6 win

After the Astros put Josh Hader on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder strain, the question is who will replace the former NL Reliever of the Year as the team's primary closer. Manager Joe Espada made his thoughts clear on that after Tuesday's terrible 14-1 loss against the Red Sox, where their relievers were busted.

Hader is the eighth pitcher to join the Astros’ current injured list, which includes starters Luis Garcia and Lance McCullers Jr. Position players such as Yordan Alvarez, Jake Meyers and Isaac Paredes are also out with various ailments.
