After starting the season poorly, Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II has quickly become one of baseball's best hitters.

Harris was dropped to the bottom of the order, and the numbers told the story — in 348 plate appearances, he slashed just .210/.235/.317 with 14 extra-base hits (six home runs), 43 RBIs, and a 21% strikeout rate.

The Braves have won four of their last five games as Michael Harris II has provided a big, unexpected offensive boost for Atlanta.

Michael Harris, 29, was driving a motorcycle on land at 26 Streeter Road on Sunday, Aug. 10, when he collided with a parked pickup, according to police. He was rushed to Heywood Hospital in Gardner, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
