If your apps open when you click on them and close automatically immediately, then either their installation has become corrupted or a third-party process is interfering with their smooth functioning.

Open that file, and you will find the unwise.exe file. Double-click on it, and the un-installation routine will remove all traces of the program.

Windows 8 is a little easier. All you need to do is just right-click on the program you want to uninstall, then click the “uninstall” button. Simple!
