Microsoft recently announced the general availability (GA) of the Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server.

In addition, the Azure Database Services for MySQL and PostgreSQL are generally available, providing customers with fully managed homes for their open source databases in Microsoft’s cloud.

That’s because Microsoft also today launched a new migration service that allows developers to take their third-party and SQL Server databases and move them to Azure SQL Database.

During the opening day of the Build 2017, Microsoft has announced two new additions to its Azure SQL service with MySQL and PostgreSQL, and has also launched a new NoSQL database called Cosmos DB.
