Nevada's high court rules that former coach and TV analyst Jon Gruden's lawsuit against the NFL can't be forced into arbitration overseen by commissioner Roger Goodell.

Nearly four years after initially suing the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell over leaked emails that cost him his job as coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, Jon Gruden got a significant win in the latest proceedings, with the Nevada Supreme Court blocking the case from going to arbitration.

Gruden had first sued the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell in 2021, claiming that the NFL had deliberately leaked disparaging emails that the ex-football coach had written in a "malicious and orchestrated campaign" in order to "destroy the career and reputation" of Gruden.
