Auburn High School has a new girls head basketball coach. Niaja Taylor gets the job. Taylor was an assistant coach at Auburn the last four years, and she is a 2016 Auburn graduate and a former Auburn point guard.

Auburn was one of five teams to finish that regular season unbeaten but was ranked third, meaning the Tigers missed out on the No. 1 vs. No. 2 BCS national-championship game. Southern Cal won that game but later vacated the title as part of its NCAA sanctions.

Auburn will add four previously unrecognized national titles to its list while recognizing three more conference titles.
