Visual Studio Code 1.96, the latest version of Microsoft’s popular code editor, has arrived with an overtype mode and a “paste with imports” feature for JavaScript and TypeScript.

All you have to do is visit Paste HTML, enter some code, publish it, and look at what you made. Paste HTML supports HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can even use Markdown if you want.

Copying and pasting has long been stigmatised in education as an easy shortcut, or even outright plagiarism. Yet in practice, copy-and-paste can be a powerful learning tool when used appropriately.
