Sudden floods triggered by heavy rains have killed more than 200 people across parts of Pakistan, India-administered Kashmir and Nepal, authorities have said, as scores of people remain missing.

Nine were killed in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, while another five died in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region, authorities said. Government forecasters said heavy rainfall was expected until 21 August in the north-west of the country,

Flash floods triggered by torrential rains have killed over 280 people in India and Pakistan and left scores of others missing, officials said Friday, as rescuers brought to safety some 1,600 people from two mountainous districts in the neighboring countries.
